Within the framework of ewoca³(+) – for everyone!, project partners further develop the existing practice of international youth work with innovative concepts. In the years 2015 to 2017 youth work institutions from Brandenburg, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia will realise nine international workcamps together with partners from France, Greece, Denmark, Ukraine and Belarus. Together with the project partners of ewoca³, they form a European network of international youth work professionals.

One organisation per Federal State collaborates with two European partners and realises three international workcamps over the course of three years. In these trilateral European partnerships, each country will host the others once.

Local and European Sustainability

ewoca³(+) is sustainable in three distinct senses: First, the specific workcamp projects lead to practical improvements at the locations where they take place. For example, youth centres are being renovated or even new places of encounter for young people created. Second, youths are supported in their personal development through these international encounters. And finally, ewoca³(+) sustainably strengthens the participating youth work institutions, by integrating them into a European network, and also into their local environment, and supports them in continuing projects.

„Strengthening, recognising and illustrating European and international youth work as an educational opportunity is an important goal for youth and educational politics. We want to use the potential for stimulation, which we see in the project „ewoca³(+) – for everyone!“, and, together with practice, the IBB and the project partnerships, make our way to further push the recognition of international youth work as a non-formal educational opportunity and raise the profile of non-formal and informal learning.”
